Honey Girls

In the summer of 1086, two young sisters from East Germany, Catrin and Maja Streesemann, embark on a holiday adventure at Lake Balaton in Hungary. Unbeknownst to them, they are being watched by the Stasi, the East German secret police, who are hunting for escapees attempting to flee to the West. Catrin quickly makes new friends at the campsite, including a charming Hungarian man named Tamás, while Maja becomes enamored with the glamorous Balaton-Residenz luxury hotel, where only Western tourists are allowed to stay. As the sisters' relationships with Tamás and each other become complicated, their mother Kirsten grows suspicious of their trip and sets out to find them, fearing that their adventure could have disastrous consequences for their family.
