K-9

K-9 is a 1989 action-comedy film that follows the story of an unconventional narcotics detective, Michael Dooley (played by James Belushi), who is assigned a new partner, Jerry Lee, a grouchy veteran German Shepherd. The two form an unlikely partnership as they work together to take down a drug lord, Ken Lyman, who has been Dooley's target for two years. The movie begins with Dooley's car being destroyed by a helicopter attack during a nightly stakeout. At the police station, Dooley confides in his lieutenant that the attack was likely ordered by Lyman. Despite this, Dooley insists on working alone. After helping out in a tricky drugs bust, Dooley asks his colleague Brannigan to loan him a K-9 to track down the drugs. Brannigan gets Dooley Jerry Lee, who is capable of tracking down any drugs in minutes. Dooley and Jerry Lee head to the warehouse where their search is unsuccessful at first; Jerry Lee ignores Dooley's orders and only finds a marijuana joint when commanded. However, at a pub where Dooley stakes out an intermediary Benny the Mule., Jerry Lee saves him when his cover gets blown and learns the location of Lyman's next shipment estimated in 50 million dollars; meanwhile, Lyman kills Freddie and demands his henchman Dillon kill Dooley before he can act on it. At home with Tracy (girlfriend), Jerry steals attention; on their next task day eating together provide Dawnie them bonding moments but nearly lose their lives chasing another suspect threatening them after shooting at them from an empty building complex that leads up to some locations including one owned by Halstead working for Lyman where jerry identifies drugs in one Mercedes belonging to Halstead owner of auto dealership shop . Later poodle meets jerry having love spark into existence between both dogs... but its owner disapproves! Back at home Tracy informs she knew about everything all along before getting kidnaped by angry lymen whose party invitation was responded officially using arrested officers present arresting lymen giving enough time for dooly+Jerry preparations involving Deutsche dogs set loose until they find controlled substances leading them straight up into richard'shousehold capturing juan causing commotion resulting n lyman having no other alternative than being taken away too!
