In a world where monsters are real, Yugi, Joey, Téa, Tristan, and Yugi's grandfather Solomon are drawn into a mysterious new dimension. They soon discover that they can use monster capsules to summon powerful creatures, but their joy is short-lived as they realize that they are not the only ones with this power.
