In the small town of West Canaan, Texas, high school football is a religion, and the Coyotes are the holy grail. When star quarterback Lance Harbor suffers an injury, the team is forced to regroup under the questionable leadership of John Moxon, a second-string quarterback with a slightly irreverent approach to the game. As Mox navigates his new role, he must confront the pressures and temptations that come with being a football star, all while dealing with his inflexible coach, Bud Kilmer, and his own personal demons. Will Mox be able to lead the Coyotes to victory, or will the weight of expectation prove too much to handle?
