After his grandfather's funeral, Daikichi, a 30-year-old bachelor, is surprised to learn that he has a 6-year-old niece, Rin, who is being ignored by his family. Annoyed by their attitude, Daikichi decides to take care of Rin by himself, despite having no experience in raising children.
