THX 1138

In a dystopian future, people live in computer-controlled underground cities, devoid of emotions or personal connections. THX 1138, a man who refuses brainwash medication given to him to suppress feelings discovers love and sexual desire through an illicit relationship with his roommate LUH 3417. They face consequences when their affair is discovered and are separated when THX is imprisoned for his crime against the oppressive society that prohibits individuality. With the help of a hologram actor SRT 5752, THX escapes prison and desperately tries to rescue LUH and their unborn child from the clutches of the all-powerful state. The chase ends when THX miraculously escapes into the outer world and witnesses something unimaginable: the sun setting in the sky.
