The Tin Mine

In the late 1940s, a young man named Arjin Panjaban is sent to work in a tin mine in southern Thailand after being expelled from university. Over the next four years, he learns valuable lessons about life, love, and loss among the miners and bosses, and ultimately discovers his true self. Through the simple rhythms of river and season, work and play, he finds a higher education in the ground beneath his feet.
