The Chumscrubber

The Chumscrubber is a dark comedy-drama film that follows the lives of a group of dysfunctional characters living in an affluent suburban town. The story revolves around Dean Stiffle, a teenager who finds his best friend Troy's dead body after he commits suicide. Dean doesn't tell anyone about Troy's death and instead turns to drugs to cope with his grief. When drug dealers threaten Dean's life, he is forced to retrieve Troy's stash of drugs, but things don't go as planned. Meanwhile, the town's residents are too self-absorbed to notice the chaos unfolding around them. The film features an ensemble cast, including Jamie Bell, Camilla Belle, Justin Chatwin, Lou Taylor Pucci, Rory Culkin, Thomas Curtis, Glenn Close, William Fichtner, Ralph Fiennes, John Heard, Allison Janney, Josh Janowicz, Carrie-Anne Moss, and Rita Wilson. The characters are all flawed and struggling with their own personal issues, adding to the film's dark and satirical tone.
