In this dark retelling of Snow White, Lilli Hoffman's mother dies giving birth to her, and herfather remarries the beautiful but vain Lady Claudia. Lilli grows up resenting her stepmother, who is obsessed with maintaining her beauty and youth. When Claudia becomes pregnant, she becomes increasingly paranoid that Lilli will threaten her status as queen of the land. Lilli discovers Claudia's evil intentions when she stumbles upon her stepmother's secret mirror, a powerful tool for dark magic. With the help of a group of gnomes living in the nearby woods, Lilli must fight for her life and outsmart Claudia's wicked plans.
