Red Dawn

Red Dawn is a 2012 action-thriller movie that tells the story of a group of teenagers who form a resistance movement against North Korean invaders in the United States. The movie begins with Jed Eckert, a U.S. Marine, returning home to Spokane, Washington, where he reunites with his father and brother. However, their peaceful reunion is short-lived as they soon find themselves in the middle of an unexpected blackout and foreign occupation. As North Korean paratroopers take over the city, Jed and his group of friends, including Toni Walsh and her cousin Erica Martin, Matt Eckert's girlfriend, flee to a nearby cabin in the woods. They are later joined by other survivors including Robert Kitner Daryl Jenkins Danny Jackson siblings Julie and Greg Goodyear a stranger named Pete and later by Toni; Erica is captured by the North Koreans . The group debates whether to surrender or resist as tensions rise within them . Pete ends up betraying their position which leads to North Korean soldiers under Captain Cho's command bringing Sergeant Eckert and Daryl's father out to convince them to surrender . While Mayor persuades boys to give up Cho executes Sergeant Eckert after refusingto cooperate with actively encourages them to resist , leading Jed announcing his intentions fight back joined by others who name themselves after their high school mascot - Wolverines .
