Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World is a 1998 American animated romantic drama film directed by Tom Ellery and Bradley Raymond. The movie follows the continuing adventures of Pocahontas, an Algonquian Native American woman, as she travels to England as an ambassador for peace. Accompanied by her friends Meeko, Flit, and Percy, Pocahontas sets sail for England, where she becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue and romance. At first confused by the strange customs and fashions of London, she soon befriends the dashing Englishman John Rolfe. However, the arrival of a mysterious stranger forces Pocahontas to choose between the life she has always known and the path of her future. As Pocahontas prepares for a grand ball at the royal court, she must navigate her feelings for both John Rolfe and her former love John Smith while also confronting the scheming Ratcliffe. In the end, Pocahontas must make a difficult choice between two loves and two ways of living. The film features an all-star voice cast including Irene Bedard as Pocahontas, Donal Gibson as John Rolfe, Jim Cummings as John Smith/Klgoree Bear/Mother Willow's Spirit/Reindeer Lover Boy/Sugar Pie's Husband ,and David Ogden Stiers as Governor Ratcliffe/Wiggins . It was released on VHS in 1998 and DVD in 2002 .It is considered one of Disney's lesser-known films but has gained cult following over years due its unique storytelling animation style blending traditional hand-drawn techniques with computer-generated imagery(CGI).
