Partition

Set during the violent partition of India and Pakistan in 1947, a former Sikh soldier, Gian, takes in a young Muslim woman, Naseem, who has been separated from her family. Despite their cultural differences, they fall in love and marry, but their happiness is short-lived as Naseem's family is found in Pakistan and she is forced to leave Gian and their son behind. Determined to be reunited with his wife, Gian sets out on a dangerous journey across the border, disguising himself as a Muslim to avoid detection. However, their love is ultimately doomed as they are torn apart by the religious and political tensions between their nations.
