Notorious

Notorious is a classic romantic thriller film directed by Alfred Hitchcock, released in 1946. The movie follows Alicia Huberman, an American woman recruited by government agent T.R. Devlin to spy on a group of Nazi war criminals hiding in Brazil. Alicia's mission is to seduce Alexander Sebastian, a former friend of her father and a leading member of the Nazi party, to gather information about their activities. As Alicia and Devlin work together, they begin to fall in love, but their relationship is complicated by Devlin's knowledge of Alicia's promiscuous past and his stoic front. The film takes place in Rio de Janeiro, where Alicia attends a party hosted by Sebastian and meets his acquaintances, including a man who becomes agitated at the sight of a certain wine bottle. When Sebastian proposes to Alicia, she informs Devlin, who coldly tells her to do whatever she wants. Deeply disappointed, she marries Sebastian. After her honeymoon, Alicia steals the key to the wine cellar and gives it to Devlin, who searches the cellar with her and discovers uranium ore inside a broken bottle. The tension rises when Sebastian realizes that the cellar key is missing from his key-ring and becomes suspicious of Alicia's involvement with Devlin.
