Madrid, 1987

In Madrid in 1987, a young journalism student named Ángela interviews a veteran journalist named Miguel, who has lost his passion for the profession. Over whiskey and cigarettes, their conversation turns intimate and they end up sleeping together. Trapped in a bathroom by a malfunctioning lock, they continue their discussion of life, politics, and literature while also exploring their desires and fears. Amidst their confinement and sexual tension, Ángela's ideals are challenged by Miguel's cynical outlook on life. As they await rescue, Ángela must confront her own conflicting emotions about the experience and decide whether to embrace her desire for Miguel or maintain her distance.
