Just Like Heaven is a romantic comedy-drama film about David Abbott, a landscape architect who moves into a new apartment in San Francisco and finds it inhabited by the ghost of Elizabeth Masterson, an emergency room physician who was in a car crash and has been in a coma for three months. David and Elizabeth have conflicting views on their living situation, with David convinced she's a ghost and Elizabeth insistent that she's alive. They team up to uncover the truth about Elizabeth's past and her mysterious connection to the apartment. Along the way, they develop feelings for each other, but their relationship is put to the test when they discover that Elizabeth's body is in a coma and her family is considering disconnecting life support. With the help of psychic bookstore clerk Darryl, David helps Elizabeth remember her past as an emergency room physician and they race against time to find out why she signed a DNR order before it's too late.
