Jesse Stone, a former L.A. homicide detective, is now the police chief of a small coastal town in Massachusetts. He's struggling to keep his drinking under control and his attraction to beautiful women at bay. To distract himself, he reopens a 12-year-old cold case involving the murder of a bank teller during a robbery. As he investigates, he discovers new clues that lead him down a dangerous path, bringing him into conflict with the town council and a powerful crime boss. With his own demons and the ghosts of the past coming back to haunt him, Jesse must confront the truth and face his inner demons before it's too late.
