In the midst of war, a little girl is rescued from an orphanage by a mysterious woman who lives deep in the forest. Believing her rescuer to be an angel, the girl soon discovers that she has been given the gift of eternal life - by being turned into a vampire. Trapped in her child's body, she must learn to live with the painful loneliness of immortality, watching as centuries of moons pass her by. But when she meets a kind-hearted man who takes her in as his own daughter, she begins to rebel against her animalistic nature and dream of reclaiming the life that was stolen from her. A haunting and atmospheric tale of hope and redemption, set against the backdrop of war-torn Spain.
