36th Precinct

In the film "36th Precinct," two Parisian police officers, Léo Vrinks (Daniel Auteuil) and Denis Klein (Gérard Depardieu), are in a ruthless competition to succeed their superior, the chief of the criminal police (André Dussolier), who is being promoted. The key to their success lies in catching a notorious gang of armored-car robbers that has been terrorizing Paris for months. As the two officers engage in a fierce battle of wits and strength, their rivalry becomes personal, fueled by their past connections and differing methods. Vrinks is an effective detective with loyal subordinates and unsavory informants, while Klein's questionable ethics lead to strained relationships and heavy drinking. As they race against time to catch the gang, their tactics become increasingly extreme, and the line between right and wrong becomes blurred.
