Dear White People is a satirical drama film that explores racial identity, power dynamics, and stereotypes in a fictional Ivy League college. The movie follows the story of Samantha White, a black student who hosts a radio show and writes a book criticizing white people and their transgressions at Winchester University. Tensions rise when Sam runs for head of house of the historically black Armstrong/Parker house, opposed by her ex-boyfriend Troy, who is pressured by his father, the school's dean, to pursue a career in law.
