Children of the Mist

In the mist-shrouded mountains of northern Vietnam, a 12-year-old girl named Di is facing a turning point in her life. She belongs to the Hmong ethnic minority, where tradition dictates that girls get married at a young age, often through a controversial practice known as "bride-napping." But Di is not ready to conform to these traditional ways. She wants to pursue her education and dreams, even as her family and community pressure her to follow the established path. This heartwarming and thought-provoking documentary follows Di's journey as she navigates the complexities of growing up in a society caught between modernity and tradition. Will she be able to chart her own course, or will she be pulled back by the weight of custom?
