Brotherhood of Blades

In the twilight years of the Ming dynasty, three sworn brothers, Shen Lian (Chang Chen), Lu Jian Xing (Wang Qianyuan), and Jin Yi Chuan (Ethan Li), serve as lowly officers in the embroidered uniform guard, the imperial secret police of the court. When the young Emperor Chongzhen ascends to the throne, he sets out to eliminate the influence of the all-powerful eunuch Wei Zhongxian (Chin Shih-chieh) and tasks the three brothers with killing him. As they embark on their perilous mission, they discover that Wei still holds significant influence through his agents planted within the court and the secret police. Tempted by Wei's large offers of gold, Shen Lian obscures the fact that Wei is alive from his two friends, leading to a web of deceit and betrayal that threatens to destroy their brotherhood. Will they be able to overcome their differences and uncover the truth behind Wei's machinations, or will their loyalty to each other be their ultimate demise?
