Based on a true story, Jamesy Boy follows the transformation of a teenage boy from a street gang member to a prison inmate, and eventually, to a young man determined to turn his life around. After being sentenced to a maximum-security prison for selling drugs and guns, James forms an unlikely friendship with Conrad, a convicted murderer who becomes his mentor. Despite facing challenges and violence in prison, James finds solace in poetry and begins to see the world in a different light. With Conrad's guidance and support, James learns to confront his past mistakes and make positive changes in his life. Will he be able to leave his old ways behind and start anew?
