After three years in prison for drug trafficking, Erich Kessel is about to be released. However, his transition back into society is complicated by the death of his daughter and his wife's offer of a second chance. Kessel's former colleague and friend, Commissaire Mario Diller, has secured him a job as a bartender, but the temptation of a lucrative contract from Walid Schukri, a powerful crime boss and father of Kessel's daughter's murderer, threatens to derail his plans.
