Markus Føns, a wealthy financier and jet-setter, finds himself in prison after a brutal assault by a gang of bikers. He opts for voluntary solitary confinement among the prison's weakest inmates, including rapists and pedophiles. In this ward, he discovers a prison choir led by the self-proclaimed leader, Niels.
