What is Tango & Cash about? 
Tango & Cash is a 1989 American buddy cop action comedy film directed by Andrei Konchalovsky and starring Sylvester Stallone, Kurt Russell, and Jack Palance. The movie follows two rival LAPD detectives, Ray Tango (Stallone) and Gabriel Cash (Russell), who are forced to work together after they are framed for a crime they did not commit. The two detectives, who have vastly different approaches to law enforcement, must put aside their differences and work together to clear their names and take down the real criminal, Yves Perret (Palance), a powerful crime lord who orchestrated their framing. Along the way, they are aided by Katherine "Kiki" Tango (Teri Hatcher), Tango's younger sister, and Owen (Michael J. Pollard), Cash's weapon engineer friend.
