In 1962, an explosion at the Kings Bay mine in Spitsbergen, Norway killed 21 miners. The cause of the blast remains a mystery, and the incident led to the downfall of the Norwegian government. But was it really an accident, or was there something more sinister at play? A journalist receives an anonymous package containing old Russian recordings warning of the disaster a year before it happened. As she and her colleague investigate, they uncover a web of deceit and corruption that goes all the way to the top.
