After 18 years in prison, Elwood Blues is back on the road with a new mission: to reunite his legendary band and compete in the Battle of the Bands. With the help of his old friend Matara and a talented but troubled young orphan named Buster, Elwood sets out to track down his former bandmates and convince them to join him on his quest. Along the way, they encounter a series of hilarious misadventures, including run-ins with the Russian mafia and the Illinois state police. With an all-star cast including Aretha Franklin, B.B.
