What is Barbara about? 
Barbara is a young doctor living in East Germany in 1980. She has been banished to a small rural hospital as punishment for applying for an exit visa. Despite her dedication to her patients, Barbara cannot shake off the feeling of being watched and monitored by the Stasi, especially when her new supervisor, Andre Reiser, seems overly interested in her.
