The Getaway King

"The Getaway King" tells the story of Zdzisław Najmrodzki, a charismatic criminal who became a folk hero in communist Poland for his numerous prison breaks. Known for his brazen escapes and his ability to evade capture, Namjiro, as he is called, has captured the hearts of many. But when he meets a new woman, he begins to question his life choices and considers leaving his criminal ways behind. As the political landscape of Poland changes with the fall of the Berlin Wall and the end of communism, Namjiro must decide what kind of future he wants for himself. Will he continue his life of crime, or will he choose a different path?
