The Beautician and the Beast

In this comedy-romance film, a New York City beautician is mistakenly hired as a science teacher for the children of an Eastern European dictator. Despite the initial confusion, she wins over the children and their father with her charms and teaches them about life outside their sheltered world. As she becomes more comfortable in her new role, she encourages the dictator to form closer relationships with his citizens and shaves his mustache in an attempt to change his reputation as a "beast." However, things take a turn when she learns about the country's political affairs and helps the dictator's daughter secretly meet with her boyfriend. This leads to a confrontation with the Prime Minister who threatens to have her arrested for treason. Feeling defeated, she quits and returns to New York City, but the dictator eventually reunites with her after freeing the boyfriend and agreeing to hold free elections.
