In the midst of World War II, the peaceful lives of three British families living on the Channel Islands are disrupted when their community is invaded by Nazi Germany. The series follows the struggles and challenges faced by the Dorrs, Mahys, and Jonases, as well as four German officers, as they navigate the harsh realities of war and occupation. With their homes and livelihoods threatened, the families must find ways to survive and resist the oppressive forces that seek to control their every move. Emotions run high as loyalties are tested, relationships are strained, and difficult choices must be made in the face of danger and uncertainty.
