Overboard is a romantic comedy film about a wealthy heiress, Joanna Stayton, who falls overboard and loses her memory. A carpenter, Dean Proffitt, sees an opportunity to get revenge for her mistreatment of him by convincing her that she is his wife and mother to his four sons. Joanna adapts to her new life and learns about the struggles of Dean's family, eventually falling in love with him. However, Grant Stayton III, Joanna's husband, has other plans for her fortune. The film follows Joanna's journey as she navigates her new life and discovers true love.
