A young woman named Ashley creates an online dating profile for her widowed mother, Tracy, in an effort to help her move on from her father's death. When Tracy meets Jared, a charming and successful entrepreneur, Ashley is initially thrilled that her mother has found love again. However, she soon realizes that Jared has a dark and manipulative side, and is determined to take control of Tracy's life and push Ashley out of the picture.
