Surviving Christmas

A wealthy advertising executive, Drew Latham, is feeling lonely and isolated as Christmas approaches. Having recently been dumped by his girlfriend and with no close relationships to speak of, he becomes desperate to avoid spending Christmas alone. In a last-ditch effort to salvage his holiday season, he tracks down a family who now resides in the house where he grew up and offers them a substantial sum of money to pose as his family for Christmas. The family, the Valcos, are initially hesitant but eventually agree to Drew's proposal. However, things quickly become complicated as Drew's attempts to recreate his childhood Christmases become increasingly over-the-top and intrusive. The family is forced to go along with Drew's antics, including participating in a disastrous holiday pageant production and enduring his constant attempts to control every aspect of their Christmas celebration. As the holiday progresses, tensions between Drew and the Valcos come to a head, and the family eventually demands that he leave. In the end, Drew is left alone once again, but with a newfound appreciation for the true meaning of Christmas and a deeper understanding of himself. Title: Surviving Christmas
