What is Robin Hood about? Toggle content

In the 12th century, England was divided between the ruling Normans and the oppressed Saxons. Robert Hode, a Saxon nobleman, finds himself in conflict with Sir Miles Folcanet over the latter's aggressive treatment of a peasant. When Hode confronts Folcanet, he is sentenced to a harsh punishment, but manages to escape and flee to the Sherwood Forest. There, he adopts the name Robin Hood and begins a life of adventure, outsmarting his Norman rivals and winning the heart of the beautiful Maid Marian. As Prince John's soldiers close in and Marian is forced to marry his greatest enemy, Robin Hood must embark on his boldest exploit yet. Can he save the day and claim his rightful place as the hero of the people?
