Ten years after escaping from their grandmother's cruel tyranny, the Dollanganger siblings are still struggling to leave their dark past behind. Cathy, now a successful ballet dancer, is haunted by her forbidden love for her brother Chris, while Carrie is bullied at school and Chris is trapped in a loveless engagement.
