In a world where mortal combat reigns supreme, three warriors from Earth must defeat their superhuman foes in a battle to save humanity. With their own inner demons and seemingly insurmountable odds against them, Liu Kang, Johnny Cage, and Sonya Blade must overcome the powerful sorcerer Shang Tsung and his minions to emerge victorious. But as they fight their way through the tournament, they begin to suspect that their true enemy may not be the monstrous Goro, but the very fabric of the Mortal Kombat itself.
