Jeg har altid haft lidt svært ved at følge plottet i denne Coen Brødrene film, men det er vist meningen inden for denne genre. Scenen i skoven er klassisk.

In the crime-ridden world of Prohibition-era gangsters, a powerful Irish mob boss named Leo (Albert Finney) rules the East Coast with an iron fist. His loyal right-hand man, Tom (Gabriel Byrne), is embroiled in a dangerous game of deception and betrayal when he falls for the same woman as Leo - a mysterious and alluring lady named Verna (Marcia Gay Harden). As tensions rise and loyalties are tested, Tom must choose between his allegiance to Leo and his own desires, all while navigating the treacherous underworld of organized crime. But as violence erupts and alliances are broken, it becomes clear that only one man can emerge victorious in this brutal battle for power. Will it be Leo, Tom, or neither?
