"Manic" follows the story of Lyle, a troubled teenager placed in a juvenile mental institution after a violent outburst. Struggling to find meaning in a world that seems to defy understanding, Lyle finds solace in a group of equally troubled teens, including Tracy, a sexually confused and abused young woman. As they navigate their way through the institution's group therapy sessions and personal struggles, Lyle and Tracy form a bond that helps them confront their demons and find a sense of hope. But as their relationship deepens, Lyle's impulsive behavior threaten to tear them apart. Will they be able to overcome their past traumas and find a way to heal together?
