K-12 is a musical fantasy horror film that tells the story of Cry Baby, a strong and sensitive girl who is sent to a disturbing sleepaway school hidden underneath a grandiose facade. With the help of her magical friends and an Angelic Spirit Guide, Cry Baby gains the strength to fight off the school's belligerent patriarchal conditioning and confront the evil forces that run the institution. The film features a cast of diverse characters, including Cry Baby's best friend Angelita, a sweet and unapologetic girl who stands up for her; Kelly, a cruel and popular student who bullies Cry Baby; and Ben, a student who has a crush on Cry Baby and joins her in her quest to destroy the school.
