In Good Company follows the story of Dan Foreman, a 51-year-old advertising executive who is demoted and replaced by his 26-year-old protege, Carter Duryea, after his magazine is bought out by a corporation. The two men must work together despite their differences in age, experience, and approach to business. However, their uneasy friendship is put to the test when Carter starts a romantic relationship with Dan's daughter, Alex, and Dan struggles to come to terms with this new development. Meanwhile, tensions rise as Dan faces financial pressures and Carter's boss visits the office, leading to a confrontation that challenges the corporate culture of "synergy" and forces Dan to reevaluate his priorities.
