The Impossible (2012) is a drama adventure thriller film inspired by the true story of Maria Belón and her family's survival during the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami in Thailand. The movie follows Maria (Naomi Watts), her husband Henry (Ewan McGregor), and their three sons as they embark on a winter vacation in Thailand, only to face one of the deadliest natural disasters in history.
