Hannibal Rising

Hannibal Rising is a movie that tells the story of the early life of Hannibal Lecter, a famous serial killer. The movie starts in 1944, during World War II, when eight-year-old Hannibal and his family are trying to escape the war by hiding in a hunting lodge in the woods. However, they are found by a group of Nazi soldiers who kill everyone except Hannibal and his younger sister Mischa. The two orphaned children survive for several years until they are found by a group of Lithuanian men who storm their home and brutally murder Mischa. The movie then jumps to 1952, where we find Hannibal living in an orphanage in Lithuania. He escapes from the orphanage and travels to Paris to live with his widowed aunt, Lady Murasaki. There, he flourishes as a student and commits his first murder as a teenager using a katana sword. He becomes the youngest person to be admitted to medical school in France and works in Paris preparing cadavers. One day, he witnesses an execution of a war criminal which inspires him to inject himself with sodium thiopental solution allowing him to recall details about his past including those responsible for his sister's death.. He returns to Lithuania searching for his sister's remains which he eventually finds; giving her an appropriate burial while also discovering identities of some men who killed herIdentities he uses many years later as revenge . This Movie portrays how Lecter's experiences growing up shaped him into becoming one of histories most notorious monsters .
