Biographisch deshalb, weil sich hier der etwas ehrgeizige, aber später erfolgreiche Schriftsteller Sam Kinsale als Zwanzig-, Vierzig- und Sechzigjähriger begegnet. Das Interessante an diesem Film aber ist, dass die vier Sams miteinander konfrontiert, sich also 'gegenübergestellt' werden.
