In the crime-ridden underworld of Hong Kong, a loyal henchman named Shivam is ordered by his boss, Malik, to keep an eye on his mistress Reema. But when Shivam discovers that Reema is being forced into prostitution, he is torn between his duty to Malik and his desire to protect her. Defying Malik's orders, Shivam decides to help Reema escape, but their plan is foiled when Malik's henchmen intervene. In the ensuing chaos, Shivam is captured and brutally tortured by Malik's men. As Shivam fights for his life, he is haunted by memories of his lost love Aliyah, who was killed in a tragic accident. Despite the danger, Shivam resolves to unite Reema with her lover Bilal and send them to Pakistan, fulfilling Aliyah's belief in freedom. In a thrilling climax, Shivam tracks down Reema and Malik, killing Rajan and Munna in the process. But Malik proves to be a formidable foe, and a fierce battle ensues. Shivam ultimately emerges victorious, but not before sacrificing his own life to save Reema. The movie ends with Reema speaking at a conference in Pakistan, where she tells the story of the "awara" who gave his life to save her. The film's title, "Awarapan," echoes the themes of freedom, sacrifice, and redemption that run throughout the story. Despite the violence and tragedy that befall him, Shivam's journey is ultimately one of self-discovery and transformation, as he learns to let go of his past and embrace a newfound sense of purpose.
