In the midst of corrupt British rule, a Swiss-German colonist named Henry Felder is urged by the new patriot governor to draft Articles of Separation from the English King. However, Felder's old Indian fighting comrade forms a Tory militia to support the Crown, setting the stage for a fierce battle. With the fate of the colony hanging in the balance, Felder must choose between loyalty to his comrade and his desire for freedom. Will he stand up for what he believes in, or will he succumb to the pressure of those around him?
