Det der gør 'Brylluppet' seværdigt er ikke mindst Zahiras eminente nuancerede spil – uden voldsomme følelsesudbrud, forstår og lever vi med hendes dilemma, der nok så meget er et teenageroprør, som en samfundsrevolte.

Indblikket i Zahiras liv, og beslutningen hun må tage, er medrivende. Oprøret er svært og kommer ikke på én gang, men derimod i etaper, som en skæbnesvanger omgang tovtrækkeri.
