With her organization "Women on Waves," Gomperts sails across the world, confronting opposition and refining her mission to empower women to take control of their own bodies. Through her work, she creates a network of emboldened activists who trust women to handle abortion on their own terms, using researched protocols with pills and new technologies to bypass existing laws. The film features a cast of strong women, including Gomperts, Susan Davies, Veronica Vera, and Kinga Jelinska, among others.
