Frequently Asked Questions

What is Rabbit à la Berlin about? Toggle content

Rabbit à la Berlin tells the unique story of a group of wild rabbits who lived in the no man's land between the Berlin Walls for 28 years. They had a peaceful life, full of grass and free from predators, and even the guards protecting them from human disturbance couldn't harm them. As their population grew, the guards started to remove them, but the rabbits survived and stayed there. However, when the wall fell down, they had to abandon their comfortable system and move to West Berlin. They have been living there in a few colonies since then, learning how to live in the free world just like the citizens of Eastern Europe. This documentary film is a kind of allegory that describes the situation of Europe after the fall of the wall, and it's told from the point of view of animals, just like in the movie "Goat Walker".
