The November Man is a 2014 action, crime, and thriller movie directed by Roger Donaldson and written by Michael Finch and Karl Gajdusek. The movie stars Pierce Brosnan as Peter Devereaux, an ex-CIA agent who is brought back in on a personal mission to protect a valuable witness, Alice Fournier (Lucy Boynton), who has information that could expose a deep-rooted conspiracy involving the CIA and the Russian government. Devereaux is pulled out of retirement in Switzerland by his former boss, John Hanley (Bill Smitrovich), who convinces him to extract Natalia Ulanova ( Mediha Musliovic), the aide of Russian President-elect Arkady Fedorov (Lazar Ristovski), who has been involved in war crimes. Ulanova is being pursued by the FSB, and Devereaux must rescue her and extract her from Russia. Devereaux soon discovers that his mission is compromised when he realizes that his former protégé, David Mason (Luke Bracey), is involved in the operation and has been working with Fedorov. Mason has been manipulated by Fedorov, who has been using him to carry out his dirty work. As Devereaux tries to protect Fournier and uncover the truth behind the conspiracy, he finds himself pitted against Mason and other high-level CIA officials who are involved in the plot. Devereaux must use all his skills and experience to stay one step ahead of his enemies and uncover the truth. The movie takes the audience on a thrilling ride, jumping between Belgrade, Moscow, and New York City. It's an action-packed story of espionage, betrayal, revenge, which keeps the viewer engaged until the very end. The November Man received generally positive reviews from critics and was a moderate box office success.
